The photo project Where I am and where I want to be came to be by accident, as I put an exposed film back into my camera, and shot it again. This resulted in a filmstrip consisting of double exposed color images - from my life in Copenhagen, and from my grandfathers house.
Printing the images as one picture (20 cm x 6 m), it became the embodiment of an eternal longing for home. My starting point where the two words "Udlængsel" (wanderlust) and "Hjemve" (homesickness). When I am in the city I live in, I miss my hometown, and when I go back to visit, I can't stay too long without missing my new home. Even though I can physically only be in one place at a time, I am always also somewhere else in my thoughts.
