The project Where I am and where I want to be came to be when I accidently put an exposed film back into my camera, exposing it two times. This resulted in a filmstrip consisting of double exposed color images, mixing everyday pictures from life in Copenhagen and from my grandfathers house in Esbjerg.
Printing the images as one picture (20 x 600 cm), it became a dipiction of the tension between feelings of homesickness and restlessness. The pictures blending without end and beginning resembled my memories, uncronological and mixed-up. When I am in the city I live in, I miss my hometown, and when I go back to visit, I can't stay too long without missing my new home. Even though I can physically only be in one place at a time, I am always somewhere else in my thoughts.
