A project about chronic pain.
Ways to distract yourself is a visual diary consisting of photographs, handwritten texts and quotes from the internet. Initiated in the beginning of the corona lockdown, it evolves around chronic pain and is set within the strict confinement of my apartment. Having less things to do and places to go, I experienced my pain becoming more present. Diving into self-help websites and medical blogs, I tried different methods to relieving the pain, documenting as I went along.
