In the work Uroligt Hjerte (unsettled heart), the color blue is examined in a collage consisting of own photographs, found images, archival material and thread. With various techniques, Tiittanen searches for the perfect blue color, which for her expresses restlessness, boredom and insomnia. The many photographs are produced by analogue manipulation of color and black and white negatives and prints. The composition is intuitive, and the search for the blue color becomes a healing process that helps calm the restless.The title refers to the medical term for when the heart beats fast or out of rhythm, a physical reaction often associated with stress and anxiety.
