In My dreams exposed I wanted to explore and recreate the landscapes of my dreams and nightmares. Using polaroid, an instant film, I was forced to create the atmosphere in the photograph without retouch, in the moment of shooting. The pictures became a way to analyse and remember events and places that felt significant, even if they are not actually real.

The field behind my mother's house

My father gets two depressions a year, one, where he gets blood in her eyes and one where he lets it rain upon the rest of us.

It was night and day at the same time

Strange weather in the garden, that was full of purple, green and violet

My mother was holding the cat

My mother was strangling the cat

A red dress my grandmother gave me

The amber buildings felt like science-fiction

Somebody cut off the head of a snake
